internet browsing macros writing

Hi,
I would like to automate my daily data update.
I get data from a web site - I have to log in, and download the text file from there onto my computer.
I would like my macro, at a specific point in the morning, automatically open an Internet browser window, log in with the username and password I will give it once a month, find the file and download it to my computer.
Could anyone please at least direct me to the sources for writing such scripts?
