I have noticed on Groupwise 6 internet agent with the MTA on another server that whenever the internet agent is not able to communicate to the MTA it unloads itself. Is there a setting to stop this?

In my opinion the GWIA is one of the more finicky agents of GW. Initially we had the GWIA & MTA on seperate servers. It was just to much of a headache dealing with connectivity problems. So we now run the GWIA and the MTA on the same server. As for switches to stop this, I know of only one that might help. If you do not already have it set. And that would be running the GWIA in remote mode. I think I remember Novell suggesting this setting when the GWIA and MTA were on seperate servers. But, I still beleive in the joining of the two agents on the same server if possible.
