Hi

thanks

Harps

so basically there is nothing I need to do on the unix side to connect to our proxy server.

also when I launch netscape I get the following error.

root@hqax01 / >netscape
Error: Can't open display:

regards

Harps

That's not an error message because of conectivity. If you are working with an X-Emulation like maybe Exceed and have an X-Server running locally, with that you connect to the Server, maybe try to export your DISPLAY-variable.

Hi harpel
If u get the error message like:can't open display..

It is merely due to xemulation u r using...as zaxxon said..
All u have to do on unxi box is:
step 1: echo $DISPLAY
If u see no output or wrong your computername(workstation host name) go to step 2
step 2:
#export display=<your_workstation_name>:0.0
step 3: cd /<path_of netscape utilities> followed by hitting
enter key...
