When are the PBX companies going to start releaseing desk phones with a + key on them.

As users are now used to dialling international calls from their cell phones by using + followed by the number then why cabt we give that feature to the desk bound users.

I look after a large multinational and in some countries there are multiple intrenational codes depending on carrier. Having a plus key would be so much easier for users. Would give us more work on the coding, but hey ho.

Could always get a phone with auto dial keys press line, auto dial key with code then number.

The calling (dialing) formats are based in the USA on NANPA and historical state and local PUCs. Some may have statutory standing also. Wireless is NOT wireline! Standards may be different in different countries or jurisdictions... and sometimes even by carrier or provider...
