International Call with TDM / Quality Issues 1

Hi,

we are using Dialogic D/240SC and DTI (T1 ISDN PRI 5ESS)

When we call local, works great, volume perfect, detection of hung up and all senialization great...now

we are calling Mexico and found the parties cannot hear each other well (even calling DF) and we do not detect hung up on some calls....

Is there something we can change or play as configuration in order to improve this?

Try a different LD carrier.

First determine who your carrier is by dialing 1 700 555 4141 and listen to the message. Is this the carrier your requested?

Then try prefixing your call with a PIC code and see if the symptoms change. To do this dial 101xxxx. Try the following:

1010222 (MCI)

1010333 (Sprint)

1010288 (AT&T)

If some or all of the above work, then either you can change carriers, or you can call your LD company and tell them that you have problems with them but not other carriers and have them open a ticket.
