I've got myself a bit turned around here. In the office a user has a normal phone, logs in, and waits for hunt group queue calls to come in as an agent and answers them normally. Let's say he's John Smith.
User: John Smith
User ID in IPO: JSmith
Extension (office): 336
Now this person needs to be able to work from home a couple times a week. What we've done is got them on a VPN VOIP handset at home which has been working great as a separate extension completely, as a new agent, logging in and taking hunt group calls.
User: John Smith
User ID in IPO: JSmithHome
Extension (home): 335
They simply use each phone individually, but there's always some confusion as to what extension to call to reach this person, etc. We can't rely on them to use the forwarding feature everytime they are in the other location.
What i'd like to do (and should have investigated this more earlier) is twin his office extension and "home" extension into one and allow him to get queue calls either at home or in the office on the same extension using Internal Twinning.
Is this possible?
I am getting confused when it comes to deciding if this user needs to login to both handsets (force login) and if it is possible to use the HuntGroup Enable / Disable toggle on a soft key on the twinned extension to make all this work.
I'm just shooting in the dark to see what happens...
