Ive added a SIP licence to my 7.0.8.5

When I try to complete the 'SIP Peer Profile' I get an 'internal system error'

I thought it might be because the 3300 hadnt been rebooted but its not that.

im having issues getting into my MOL account so Im locked out from searching the knowledge base right now.

Is it possible that its the version of software, or is something else missing from another setting.

I am following the steps in the help so im sure I havent left anything out before hand.

Also ref'ing this:

As thats what I want to do, hook a Asterisk box up.

Cheers

Tim

Make sure the the Maximum Simultaneous Calls is the same or less than the number of SIP trunk licenses you have in your License and Option Selection form.

I thought that one SIP truck licence would mean 1 point to point but would allow multiple calls?

However I just tried setting the maximum number of simultaneous calls to 1 and it still is showing 'Internal system error'

Tim

1 SIP trunk = 1 simultaneous call.

Can you post the Peer Element and Peer Profile configuration so that I get a visual of it?

Bu@@er - Maybe cheaper to get a E1 card and run off the second T1/E1 trunk on the 3300.

Anyway.. I cant actually do anything on the SIP Peer Profile.

The Mitel is on 192.168.4.2 and the Asterik box is on 192.168.1.203

The Network elements goes fine, goto the SIP Peer and I cant actually do even the basics.

sip Peer Profile: Asterisk
Network Element: Asterisk
Local Account information: 150 (although also tried blank)
Address Type: FIXED on 192.168.4.2
Truck service: 1
Interconnect Restriction: 1
Max Sim Calls: Now set to 1
Session Timmer: 90
Compression Zone: 1
SMDR Tag: 0
Nat Keep Alive: no ticked
Enable Mitel Prop. SDP: Yes
Use P Asserted Indent Header: No
Use Rectricted Character Set: No
Disable Reliable Prov Responce: No
Authent username, password, set to 'anything and left blank
Authent Option for incomming: None and challenge

Cheers

Tim

You didn't list this option...

Use Last Negotiated Port for SDP...change this to yes

That option is not there? In SIP Peer Profile, Yes?

Tim

I can see that and more options in the help that arent within the SIP Peer Profile Page <add>

Confused now?

Tim

You do not need to define the Outbound SIP Proxy specific parameters unless a proxy lives on your network. Do you have an Outbound Proxy?

If DNS will negotiate the transport and port then the fields for External SIP Proxy can be left blank with a 0 for the port, this is also true for the SIP Registrar fields and port number.

Thanks for the on going tips.

The original setup within Network elements was just the basics, I got desprate and put the others in. Now its just below but again no-go.

Does appear to be the fact theres lots missing within the peer page.. Im wondering if the system is corrupt or theres an issue with 7.0.8.5?

Ive just VPN'ed into a customers 3300 and theres LOADS more options within the Sip Peer Add screen to what ive got on this box.

As I say I have rebooted it, so its either locked down on another screen or the html is corrupt.

Have you done a DBMS STATUS from the command line to see if you have any view errors?

DBMS info: DBMS CHECK completed 2008-MAR-05 23:06:23.00 .
Internal level audit finished successfully.
0 view error(s), 0 table error(s) detected.

Ive tried it in IE 7, IE 6, Vista, Windows 2003/2000 box.

Stumped.. Its a pretty standard box, no thrills.

I can only think of upgrading it to the latest version 7?

Either an upgrade or restore from a known good back up.

Well ive upgraded to the last version 7, everything is now displayed.

Mitel to asterisk is fine

Asterisk to Mitel comes back with:
"Got SIP Responce 503 "Service is unavaiable"
Sip/Mitel-in-081a1610 is circuit-busy
Everyone is busy/congested at this time
Auto fallthrough channel IAX2/302 status is congested

google'ing appears that with others get the same problem.

Its not because a Mitel licence is one way is it and I need another one?
