I've searched a lot of sendmail threads but can't find one similar to my problem. The only thing I need to do is read the root mail from a local network pc using outlook. Sendmail doesn't need to get out to the internet at this time. I ran mkdev cf and entered all the settings. The machines address is 10.0.0.10, which is what I put for the inbound and outbound mail servers in outlook. (I've done this before and it worked on another system) I enter my user id and password for the log in, Ports are default 110 and 25. Set up like this it won't connect.

The domain I used is out internet domain with "corp" infront of it. Should I just change it to our internet domain?

The errors I'm getting are that the server can't be found on the network.

Sendmail looks after sending of mail and delivery to a mailbox, it does not provide a facility to read it. To do that you need to run a POP3 or IMAP daemon. They are the protocols that an email reader such as Outlook will use to check a mailbox.
