I have A Cs1000 RLS 6.O. It is on a four digit dial plan. We are currently moving to another system using a 5 digit dial plan. On the Nortel I would like to dial a 5 digit number (IE 54321)and then strip leading digit (5) and then send it to the internally to the ACD Ext 4321. I think I can do this in CDP but the RLI prompt confuses me. Can anyone offer some help.

Use LD 86 to build your RLI and DMI. With this examp. RLI 1 is pointing the calls to go out route 8 with a DMI table of 3.
RLI 1
ENTR 0
LTER NO
ROUT 8 (the trunk route you want to use)
TOD 0 ON 1 ON 2 ON 3 ON
4 ON 5 ON 6 ON 7 ON
VNS NO
CNV NO
EXP NO
FRL 3
DMI 3 ( table that you use to add or delete digits.)
FCI 0
FSNI 0
SBOC NRR
IDBB DBD
IOHQ NO
OHQ NO
CBQ YES

ISET 0
NALT 5
MFRL 3
OVLL 0

The dmi is stripping the 5.

Req - new
Type - dgt
DMI - 3
Del - 1
return thru the rest.

I guess I didn't see where the trunk was. So far we're just dialing 54321 from the Nortel and ringing ACDN 4321 on the Nortel.

Let's clarify. From what system are you dialing what?

Right now it just in the same nortel switch. I'm trying to do this in anticipation of moving to the new system once the call center is up and running which will be in the next six to nine months. If i can start out using the 5 digit extension it will bwe a smooth migration and would not have to redo alot of documentation.

Then you can use CDP, but LTER on the RLI must be "YES" - then it does not ask for a Trunk route.

Hello all, I got it working. When building the RLI I needed to have Lter set to yes so it terminates locally. Thanks for the support.
