Can the internal network number of a server be changed without any adverse effects on the rest of the network? Also, does this have to be a unique name?
Thanks

The Internal IPX Network Number MUST BE UNIQUE!!!

Yes you can change it, via the AUTOEXEC.NCF, the REBOOT. Just make sure that the new IPX Internal Network Number DOES NOT conflict with any other of your IPX Devices.

Good Luck!

And it is also hexadecimal, can only use numbers 0 to 9 and letters A to F in the figure which has to be 8 alphanumeric characters long -----------------------------------------------------
