Internal name display on OB Calls

I have just been informed that the internal name display is showing on the external recipients telephone display. It use to just show our company name and the clid table number that is assigned to the phone. In further testing I noticed that on an ATT PRI the call would show the company name but on another carrier PRI it would show the internal name display. I looked at each Dchannel and the are programmed exactly the same. Could this be a setting issue with the carrier? In the end result I would like the company name and the clid number in the associated clid table be outpulsed.

AT&T does not pass your name, but the other carrier does. You are correct to look in the DCH. Look at the RCAP and see what you have for the other carrier - take out the references to "Name" then tell the carrier what name you want delivered.

Here's an example. NDI is sending my name in this example. You would want to take that out.

Not to hijack this thread but could you expand on this? I haven't really researched all of the Caller ID name and number options with the carriers.

We used to have standard T1s where Caller ID was limited but we have since switched to PRI services with basic Caller ID name (Company Name) and Caller ID number (CLID table entry).

So this is simply PBX D Channel setup with a carrier like AT&T to pass the actual Extension name and CLID entry?
Does this depend on the local CO switch?
And you can still block specific extension names and put "Private Caller" with the no Caller ID number?
Are there drawbacks or limitations to this anywhere?
I can't think of any incoming DID business calls where specific extension names were on the Caller ID.
