Internal modem not detected

Hi,

I have installed an internal modem in a NT4 workstation with the correct drivers for NT4.
The modem is listed in the Control Panel Modems applet but is not detected by any program in other words I can not use it.
The modem is OK because it comes out of another pc where it was working just fine.

Any suggestions ?

Can you query the modem from the control panel??
If not it might be configured wrong.
