Hello,
We just got a new Altigen Alti-Office1G system with the IP 710 telephones. We hooked the system up, grounded it, registered our licenses, and created two test extensions. When we dial extension to extension, there is a large amount of static. It isn't on EVERY single call this bad, but 95% of test calls. We don't have our trunks in from Verizon yet, so we aren't hooked up to the point we can test call off location.
We can call voice mail and it is extremely clear. I'm not sure why it would sound bad on ext to ext and not voice mail, but we have yet to have a really bad quality voice mail test call.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing such drastically bad sound quality? We have tried changing power sources, switches, telephones, and cables. We have also moved the IP board to other PCI slots as well as moving the MVIP cable a bit.
Thanks,
Ben
