What components should i use to create internal windows? the sort of thing i'm talking about are windows that sit within an application, like those which contain pictures on adobe photoshop.

Totally a guess here, but I am pretty sure that those windows are just normal windows that are somehow children of the parent window. Have you tried just making a normal form window and setting some property or making some special call that will open it as a child?

i've got it now thanks. you're right, i had to make the parent window's mdiparent property true, and tell the children who's daddy.
