I have just upgraded to W2000 server and I am soon to upgrade to Exchange 2000. I am concerned about internal and external domain names. All the advice seems to say name your internal domain differently to your external domain. I have therefore named the internal domain local.XXXX.com (my external domain name being XXX.com and is hosted by a third party). Is this the best way to do it and how will it affect current email addresses?

Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated.
