Internal Error when Scheduling report in CE 10

Hi,

I'm using CR & CE 10 against Oracle 9i.

I have a report against a oracle procedure and inside a subreport against a table. Everything works fine against a default database except when you try to schedule it on CE base on a mapped data source, I was able to map the procedure and table to a different data source and preview it successfully, it failed when try schedule on CE. Everything I know preview is managed by Page server and schedule is by job server, but I have no clue on what caused problem and how to fix it. Did anyone experience the same problem?

The error message is related with reportjobserver and only indicated ''Internal error.''

Explain what you mean by a 'mapped' datasource..

What connection method are you using with the Oracle datasource?( OLE DB, ODBC, Native...)

Thanks for your reply. I'm using oracle native driver.

'Mapped Data source' means I can run reports in CE with data source specify to other than default data source.
e.g. I developed report base on a dev database on dev schema, when the report goes to production, report need to set to connect to production database and schema, you can directly set in CE without manually set database location in CR designer.

When you run it on demand from the CMC, does it work correctly?

Is the tnsnames.ora file on the server the same as the one on the workstation where you developed the report?

What error is reported when the scheduled report fails..( click on the 'failed' link..)

if you mean preview, it works, if you mean schedule, it fails.

tnsnames.ora, i don't think it has anything related. We have oracle on windows and user has oracle on unix. But the Application has been running pretty well in there and I have lots of reports running well in user's production server too.

Error message is 'Internal error' and server used is 'reportjobserver'.

OK, if Preview works then the database access is not an issue( at least with Oracle as the database)..

In the CMC when you look at the history after you run the scheduled report and it fails, what error is shown when you click on the 'failed' ?

Ooops, Turkbear, I thought I posted answer but seems not.

The Error Message in CMC when I click on the 'failed' link is 'Internal error' and the server used is 'reportjobserver'.

No, I will ask the administrator about that later on and let you know, but I still think it may be a bug regarding CE's jobserver.

Pageserver and jobserver must be developed by different teams.

I didn't get any Event log message regarding the error. I will send an email to BO about this and keep posting the results.
