Internal Error has Occurred

Greetings,

Just had lsass.exe die on a Win2k3 server. The server rebooted, comes back to login screen and when I attempt to log in, I get 'An Internal Error has Occurred - Please contact your system administrator' and I am re-presented with the login screen.

Any idea's what this could be? I do know there are plenty of virii that replace lsass.exe... But this gave us an 'error in lsass.exe' error.
