internal error autocad R14

help.
I have a drawing in autocad R14 using Windows NT. There is a baseplan x-refed into the drawing. fie size is about 900kb. File is about 10 months old. When trying to open file, autocad prompts that file needs recovering. After recovering file, autocad then displays internal error:
!dbthunk.cpp@210:enullobjectld
Is there anything that I can do to open this file. I really need it.

Have you tried inserting it into a blank drawing like a block?
