Internal Error : 2755

I am trying to uninsall an Office2000 installed on a WinNT4.0 Workstation. After selelcting "Remove ALL", the installation process stops giving an error "Internal Error : 2755"

I am unable to Add/Remove/Repair the Office components.

Please let me know if theres' anything that can be done.

Someone suggested to use WindowsINstaller to remove the application...but i could not make use of it in a proper way.

All the help from all of you would be great.

This seems to be a general error. Have a look at:

The first one is to allow you to download Eraser 2000 which will get rid of all the remaining Office 2000 files on the system

The second gives you a clue (maybe ) of what the problem could be with the install/uninstall.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately, these articles could not help me much with the utility "Eraser2K" that they provided.

Nevertheless, I am now having a solution to the problem. We need to install Windows Installer of a different version than the one installed. In my case, I had problems with Office2K and I tried installing Windows installer of Office-XP, and it worked.
So, now the error is gone and Office2K is running fine.
