Hello All,
I work for a public school in the IT department and we would like to create an internal email system for the students. We would like to configure sendmail to only allow students to send email within our school system. We do not want to allow them to send or receive email from the Internet.
My question is, "Is it possible to configure sendmail so that it will only deliver mail within our schools systems domain name space, something like, student@school_district_name.k12.wi.us" ? Any email to or from the Internet must be blocked, and only allow email to be sent to other students or teachers within the school district. We do have a firewall between the school's network and the Internet.
Can sendmail be configured to function as an mail server for an Intra-net only mail server?
Any ideas would be welcome, and I can RTFM from there. Thanks for any help you can provide.
