internal DVD-ROM Drive

most Dell laptops have Internal DVD-ROM Drive. I never liked this non-standard DVD-ROM drives (slit), plus it less convenient, you can scratch CD/DVD if insert inaccurate.
Is it reliable enough?

1. I wouldn't call it non-standard due to it's size.
2. It's not less convenient.
3. If you're careful, you'll never scratch any CD/DVD.

Reliability - who could answer that?? But I doubt it's significantly different than other laptop CD/DVD drives.

Your question is a bit odd and your assertions are a bit questionable.
