We have a center which has an internal domain that is exactly the same as the company's website. This causes problems as some computers trying to access the website will get a 'server not found' and some work. It's accessible through a proxy...

I assume that the fact that it's the same address as the network's domain name is causing this DNS problem, as it's not a firewall issue.

What do I need to change to get all the computers to be able to access the company's website through the internet?

Thanks!

3 solutions spring to mind;

Add a into the internal DNS zone that resolves to the webs site IP address

Rename the internal domain to something like companyname.local or .internal

implement a split dns solution
