when trying to access a web server on my internal lan from an internal host using the public address of the web server it fails. Access from the internet works fine. Can anybody tell me why the internal clients are not able to connect using the public address. My internal server is linked from an external web server. It works O.K. unless you are internal, then it fails. Thanks

Ok hang on...does your web server have an internal address as well and i assume then that it is translated to an external address? If so do you have an alias command for the external web server address? This will allow for your internal clients to hit the website.

Yes, it has an internal address as well and it is translated. I will try the alias command. Thanks for the quick response
