Internal calls ringing as outside on one phone

I have a user with an MLX-28D. When other users make internal calls to other extensions my MLX-28D user sees the calls as an outside call and answers the phone, which is not intended for her. I've looked at her settings but do not see any reason why this is happening. Can someone please provide suggestions for places to check?

This MLX-28 probably has cover buttons for other extensions.

If you have SPM Software, do a PRINT of the Extension and see what it shows.

If you DO NOT HAVE SPM SOFTWARE, go to the phone, PRESS INSPECT, and touch each and every button and see if any are set for PRIMCOV or SECDCOV.

Take note of the ones that do, and then DELETE those buttons in Extension Programming. (Intercom, Speaker, #00, Touch the button, press Delete, when all done, press HOME).

The phone has a PRIMCOV for the extension of the attd. Of course when I started to work on this everyone else then tells me that they are having the same problem. So, is there another way for assistants to pickup and hear the main lines at their phones rather than using the PRIMCOV option?

What are these people dialing?

Are you telling us they are dialing the AUTO ATTENDANT number to get their Voice Mail?

When other extensions dial another internal extension the call is ringing at the designated extension and also showing up on the phones that have PRIMCOV 5860 -I (the extension assigned the person that has the console).

That does not make sense.

Do you hae SPM?

Can you do a print all and email it?
