internal call forwarding to extension with Exception on certain extensions

I need advise on below
avaya ip office have extension numbering like 1111 and 2222 for Boss office and other users have extension numbers form 1300 1400 1500 in series.
we want to restrict extensions directly calling to Boss at 1111 but forward to Operator at 1000.
and only operator can dial to boss .

You can't restrict users from calling internal extensions.

I think I would change his extension to something else and not tell anyone. Forward his old extension to the operator.

Have boss prove he is the boss and worth the title and pay packet by telling the next person to ring him directly that they are sacked.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Very simple and basic setup.

On boss phone forward unconditional to reception, then add reception to the DND exceptions list (again on boss phone)

Enabled the Unconditional Forwarding to reception Extension and added the reception extension to Exception list of Boos phone.
(DND is disabled)calls are forwarding to reception bot
now Operator cant get to boos because his call to forwarded to his extension.

sounds like you have missed something
This was basic Manager Secretary working way back to Network Alchemy.

just tested it on My 10.1 Demo system & it is still working as expected
