I've got a customer that is just busting my balls over this "problem". I don't know if it's a bug or if it's supposed to work this way. They're killing me over this, so here goes.
I call in to the receptionist. She parks me on Park 1 and calls her boss to see if he wants to take my call. If he doesn't answer she presses Park 1 to retrieve my call, disconnecting the call to her boss in the process. This works fine if Internal Auto Answer is not activated on the boss's phone.
Now, if the boss's phone does have Internal Auto Answer activated, her call to him is not automatically disconnected when she presses Park 1 to retrieve my call. Instead, she has to press the switch hook while still connected to the boss's speakerphone to disconnect him. If she attempts to retrieve me on Park 1 before disconnecting her boss nothing happens. She can't retrieve me until she disconnects her boss. The receptionist insists this didn't happen before I upgraded their IP500 to 5.0.8 from 4.2.17. On System/Telephony I unchecked "Autohold".
Any ideas? I'm strongly considering downgrading them back to 4.2 (17). Also, they have analog lines, no PRI.
