Hello there, I am running Arcserve 2000 SP2 with all the patches on an NT box Compaq DL760 2 processors 1GB RAM. I backup onto a Compaq DLT Array 40/80 GB. I backup 10 servers over the network and all seems to be fine. I have one troublesome server that runs our Intranet. Sometimes I ran backup on it and it takes a cool 7 minutes to backup. At other times, it takes 10 hours to backup the same. I reckon my Arcserve is Okay because all the other servers backup just fine. I have tried knocking off all connections from server manager on the Intranet Box, I have tried rebooting it to drop any locks on files but still face the same problems. Yet there are times I kick off the backup, during working hours when people are actually using the Intranet and it runs in 7 minutes!! Any one with ideas out there why this is happening. Its beginning to feel a bit spooky! surrounding yourself with dwarfs does not make you a giant.
