Single Citrix server TSE SP6 Citrix SP2. IBM Netfinity. 1GB RAM, dual processor.
Running remote app for about 20 users. Also running RAS for two dial-in users.
Every now and then, dial-in users dial in (and the server dials them back) successfully, but they cannot make a Citrix connection using the ICA client.
The Terminal Server client works but is too slow to use at the best of times.
There are no related event log entries and it seems to be random. Sometimes it is ok for a few weeks and then sometimes, the problem can occur a couple of times within one week.
The only solution we have at the moment is to reboot the machine.
Will be moving the RAS functionality to a separate server when budget allows but I wonder if anyone can help in the meantime.

Two quick things to check

1) DNS settings of the client. This would explain why the TS client works but ICA does not - RDP uses WINS for name resolution.

2) WAN response. Ping the Citrix server from the dial-in client. If you're getting response times >400ms, then try adjusting ICAkeepalive settings on the server.

I hope this helps
