Intermittent printing issues from Chrome

OK, so I am having a bit of a nightmare with this.

Users are using Chrome as their default browser, as the software they use has a plug in which only works with Chrome, or so I am told.

When printing from Chrome, it sometimes prints, some time it doesn't.

When it doesn't, it appears in the print spooler, and then vanishes, but doesn't print.

If I then tell it to print an individual page, e.g. page 2, then it prints.

If I tell it to print all or a range of pages, it does not print.

All other applications print fine, either to local printers or to network printers.

Other browsers, IE and Firefox print fine, but cannot be used with this particular software, because of the plug in.

Chrome is version 51.0.2704, and I have also tried 56.0.2924, both 32 and 64 bit versions.

All windows updates applied, and latest printer drivers in use.

It doesn't seem to matter what printer you print to, as I have seen this with HP, Ricoh and Xerox printers.

Any ideas?????

Sounds like a problem with the software or with the plug in, I would start by contacting them.

Thanks for the post, I have already tried without the plug in, and the problem still persists.

I have a possible work around, which I am in the process of testing.

The work around is that if you go into more settings when the print dialogue box appears, and click on the print quality drop down, and then print, without changing the settings, it prints.

Go figure.......

I will let you know if it does allow all users to print correctly.

Whose? Microsoft's? Or the manufacturer's?
