Could anyone advise me where to go with trying to resolve the following.

We have several remote sites on our LAN that are connected using kilstream. At the remote end there is an X.21 router. Over the last few weeks the connection to that site has been going down a couple of times a day and after about 25 minutes it just comes back to life al on it's own. We have had BT thoroughly check the line between H/O and the site and they report no faults. I changed the router last week in case it was a hardware failure but the problem persists.
I am pinging the router at the moment from H/O and it is ver intermittent. I really am at a loss as to where to go next.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be most greatful.

Regards

Eric...

You want to cover your basics first.

Make sure your not overloading the line check the interfaces to see if your using all your bandwidth.

Check for errors, see if your getting any frame errors.

Does this happen at certain, times... only during the working day ( in which its likely to be traffic related ) or does it happen with very little traffic going over it ??

Have you got any convertors between your routers and your circuits, sometimes these can create faults as well.

Problem with line problems is that you kind of have to prove its not a problem with your kit...
