Intermittent loss of hard drives on KK266R-Plus?

I have started to have problems with my hard drives beening found on start up and sometimes locking up during use.

This is an Intermittent problem it started about 2 weeks ago. Since then it may have happened 3 times at startup. The posting shows there are no hard drives installed. However if I restart the computer the hard drives will show up. The cdroms always show up.

I think sometime the hard drives may be lost during actual use but I can not prove this.

CD-ROM/DVD : HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8526B

Power supply : Enlight Hpc-300-101 (4 years old)

Up until 2 weeks ago everything was working ok.
Any ideas as to what is going on with the hard drives??

Check the cables to the drive, maybe loose.
Try with a different power connector to the drive.
Check and/or replace the cmos battery.

It could be an intermitant failure on the dives PCB as well.

Although you have a good quality power supply you should consider that as well.
