Intermittent internet connectivity Aloha POS Help!

First of all we do not process credit cards through our Aloha POS system. We are running Aloha 6.4 on an XP box with two network cards. One card goes to a network switch which is connected to the Aloha terminals and network. The second NIC card goes to our broadband modem/router. I have the ability to RDP into the BOH server XP box which verifies that the internet connection is working, but I can only intermittently access the internet while connected via RDP. I can only intermittently access the internet when physically on the computer as well. So either way I only have intermittent internet connectivity, but the fact that I am connected via RDP shows that the internet connection is good and the problem is on the computer itself. Does anyone know what could be possibly causing this problem? Is it a conflict with the two NIC cards? The LANA is set to 0 on the Aloha network card and 3 on the internet network card. Is it possibly a routing issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check the ip address of each NiC card they should jot be in the same ip scheme.
