We just switched from POTS lines to a T1. All of our analog numbers are now DID numbers. I have to configure three of our 24 lines as DID Target lines to go directly to a port ATA to provide Analog (Fax, Elevator,Fire). Issue. I have each Trunk - DN 61-84 to answer automatically. I defined Target lines with the three inbound seperate numbers with correct 4 digits on the rec'vd from the public side. I configured the DNs with the Analog lines as the assigned lines.

WHen you dial our fax line, it comes in to the proper port sometimes but every 2 or 3 calls makes it to the receptionist. I can watch the inbound activity from the BCM monitor and it shows the Target line being answered sometimes and it shows the Trunk DN other times (the ones that go to the main number). Can someone help?

thanks

Make those analog ext Prime to themselves and not to the ATT DN, which is usually 2221. right now if the fax is busy it will ring the ATT.

thanks for your help. I do have the proper extensions configured at the Prime. Do you know if my incoming trunk lines should be set to Auto or Manual under Trunk/Line data Answer Mode? thanks
