I've got multiple users across my whole M1 that have had intermittent button issues (most commonly #2) when outdialing or accessing voicemail. Sometimes they get an odd discordant tone, sometimes nothing and sometimes Call Pilot tells them their password is wrong (and may lock them) even though they pressed correctly. Not every user, not every time. doesn't appear to be ports on just one card or loop. No errors reported on my system checks. No cards showing fails or alarms, that I can recognize at least.

If it is just analog phones, I'd be looking at DTR cards.

ah, sorry for not covering that. These are mainly digitals (2008s, 16s and 3903s) though I can't rule out that some analogs may be getting it too. Just the managers complain the most.
and it doesn't happen all the time to even the same people, but some are regulars. Slowing down their keystrokes seems to help sometimes, but there are times when just pressing 2 can cause the odd tone.

I've also notice I'm getting a busy signal for outgoing ringtone sometimes. I can kind of see where the problem would be, but not sure how to get into tone responses.

Thanks for being there to answer GT

oh and this surfaced just after a brief power outage from a fried squirel on our transformer.

I believe the link from digital sets to CallPilup is all data, so the TDS cards do not come into play for tones. I'm not positive.

In that case, I'd be testing from an analog phone, such as at your house, to see if you get the problem. It might be one port on the CallPilot system, and not the PBX itself.

Managers would be the ones to complain as most users soon lose faith that anyone cares :)

haven't seen it from offsite yet, only internal units dialing out or to CP.

not a single issue from outside dialing in. And the odd tone sounding when buttons are pressed it showing up on other numbers, just not as often
