Intermdiary filesets level

Hi all,

We have an application installed on AIX 4.3.3 that requires the following :

AIX 4.3.3 Maintenance level 4 or 8 (ML04 or ML08) packages (IY11202)

DCE 3.1 (Base services) PTF set 2 packages (IY11194)

Motif Fix : U473687 : X11.motif.lib 4.3.3.26

Aix Link 1.1.5.6

instfix -i |grep ML show me that ML04 is ok, not 5 and 6
instfix -ivk 4330-05_AIX_ML |grep : |grep not, shows (and it's the same for ml5 and 6) that the patches not upgraded are

Fileset devices.common.IBM.hdlc.sdlc:4.3.3.25
Fileset devices.pci.331121b9.com:4.3.3.25
Fileset devices.pci.331121b9.diag:4.3.3.25
Fileset devices.pci.331121b9.rte:4.3.3.25

My questions are :

Can I apply those even if there are intermediary version in-between ?

How can I be sure I have the full AIXLink version 1.1.5.6 installed ?

more generally, if anyone have a good adress for a tutorial about all those fileset/packages/bundles/...installation for the newbie I'm, I would be grateful.

You can do that. Patch levels are from release... or at least I have never seen a problem with it. IBM Certified -- AIX 4.3 Obfuscation
