interface information

Below is the information on my outside interface

How can i get an explaination of what this all means

my intrest is primarley in the 26 lost carrier, 0 no carrier line

the rest is basic tcp/ip lingo

The lost carrier could indicate a physical layer (cable or port) problem. Its indicating that the Ethernet carrier was lost during transmission.

clear the counters using the `clear interface' command, then check to see if this counter is still incrementing over time. If it is check the associated cables and switch ports, and also configuration settings for duplex and speed.
