Has anyone else noticed this (originally posted in the VFP- General Coding forum).

Make a form, put a pageframe on it, edit a tab caption - either tab will do.

Set it to Hello!

It will come out !Hello

VFP6 and 9, runtime .exe or in the IDE - not on XP/2000 though.

Yep, I see that in VFP 9 (both SP1 and SP2) and VFP 8 on Vista. I don't have any earlier versions installed on that machine.

Curiouser and curiouser. It doesn't have to be the "!". Try any of the other punctuation marks. Looks like any of them has the same effect.

No sign of the problem on my XP machine.

Weird. Probably worth posting on Connect to get a Microsoft response.

I spotted it with a period, I used the shreik because I thought it would be clearer for the example!
