InterDev wouldn't open for debugging when there is an error in IE

Hi, I have InterDev installed and it was working perfectly b4. I was debugging my apps on my machine and whenever i would have an error it would give me dialog box asking if i want to debug my application and then InterDev would open and i would be able to c the Locals etc.

I've installed SP5 and problems started.
Now when i got an error it would just print it in IE window like "Error ..." and won't open InterDev etc. I checked all the flags and option for debugging in InterDev and IE. Getting kinda desperate here.

Have you double-checked that your IIS settings still allow for debugging (that they may not have become changed when you installed the new SP)? I would think it unlikely, but still worth looking at. Otherwise, what kinds of errors is IE giving you? Are you even able to debug or start the application in debug mode and it just ignores any breakpoints? A little more information on what you are doing and seeing may make it a little easier to help walk you through this.

Thanks for trying to help. I checked IIS - it allows debugging al right. I can start the project from the InterDev, but it will ignore all the breakpoints. Although when i start it it gives a message "Unable to set server into a normal debugging stage...". Before i installed SP5 i even didn't need to open it in InterDev. i would just run it in my browser - and if there is an error- it would offer me to debug in Interdev.

Hi there,

I am using interdev to debug locally the asp pages. But i am coming across this problem over and over. I always get an error message "Source code not available" for .inc files and "Unable to set server into debugging state automatically..." message. Also i can not step through the page if i set a break point. I am using windows 2000 Professional edition and i have visual interdev enterprise 6.0 edition. I have proper priveledges to my IIS and have every thing configured properly. I have done lots of research on net for my problem but haven't been able to solve my problem. Is there anyone who can help me in this case? Thanks
