Hello guys.
I have a client with two offices 45KM apart. They have a line of sight connectivity using point-to-point radios (Both sites are on the same LAN)
One office - the HQ has KX-TD1232 PABX. The other office has KX-TES824. They would like to have extension-to-extension dialing between the two offices. I have got it working except, for example from the HQ one has to first dial one of the extensions connected to an FXO gateway, get a tone then dial the destination ext No at the other end. The same for the other office.

I believe to solve this, i just need to have the extensions on the KX-TD1232 that are connected to the FXO VoIP Gateway put in one group and an access code set for that group. So that one has to dial only a single digit and cease any free line on the gateway to get to the other side.
Question is, How do i assign an access code for a group of extensions in a KX-TD1232
And how do i assign an access code for a group of Extension on a KX-TES824

If it cant work for extensions, what about for the trunks - i can use an FXS VoIP Gateway instead

I have PC Maintenance console for both systems.

if you have 1 co and 1 slt port on each system, put 1 fxo port in fron 1232 and have the fxs port on other end connect to line port
do the reverse on the second unit

I have used 2 Cisco SPA3102, one on each end, setup to pickup the extension on one side when picking up co port on the other.

if you have 2 of these units on each side you can have direct dial from extension to extension on each side

you can also set it for when you ring the slt extension, it will ring the co on the other side, easiest way to transfer calls if you don't have reverse polarity or cpc on your system

Depends on how many free line ports they have or exension ports
