I've read several posts about intercoms. What does an intercom do that direct dialing doesn't? Why do people need intercoms?

the "Dial Intercom" feature allows you to configure up to 100 sets in an intercom group. If you dial the intercom group code you ring all sets at once & if they were all Aries/Taurus sets, you can set it to ring once then broadcast over the speakers.

I think you can only hit 1 set with in that Intercom group at a time. Not all of them at the same time. If you know a way to page (intercom) all of the phones in that group at one time please tell me because I can use that feature.

Is there such a thing as Intercom group call?I don't think so but if there is can someone reply to explain--it does not seem possible to me???????????????????????????????????????????????

you can use hotline to call everyone at once or perhaps WDHB was referring to voice call, which I don't think is used too much anymore. The only advantage I can think of with intercom is A) fewer digits to dial and B) you are not tying up an ext. key on your phone.
