Intercom with mute off???

I have installed a bran new Merlin Magix system and am using the 4400 series phones, there is no voice mail attached to the system.

The issue is this:

The system is installed in a doctor's office and he wants his receptionist or nurses to be able to intercom any one of the exam room phones (which is a 4406d & there are 4 of them) and the intercom to come on with the mute button off. I have set the phone system up to dial the rooms at the moment via the intercom and they can talk to the doctor but he can not communicate back to them until he presses the mute button to turn it off.

They want the doctor to be able to respond with out having to push the mute button incase he's busy with a patient.

Please tell me how I can configure the phones system to intercom with the mute off.

Program a button for HFAI (Hnds Free Answer Intercom).

Turn that button on, and problem is resolved.

(It was built in on MLX phones, but you have to use a PROGRAMMABLE BUTTON on TDL Sets)

At the Phone to program:

Press Intercom > Dial #00, Press the Button, Dial *779.

Press Speaker and that should do it!
