Running Avaya Ip Office Release 10.1.0.6.0 build 7

Yes this is simple to set-up. First set-up a short code like this:
(Sample:)
Code: *98N
Feature: Direct Dial
Telephone Number: N

On a programmable key program a button with the feature Auto Intercom, to use it just press the button and the users extension number to do an Auto Intercon call. (Voice Call) in Nortel world.

On an analog phone or handset just press the short code (*98) and the (extension number) and you should hear the three beeps which indicate you are connected.

If you have 3 digit extensions try a shortcode of *98XXX/Direct Dial/N adapt for however many digit extensions you have. 2 digits = XX, 4 digit = XXXX and so on.

As that previous post suggests I typically do #XXX/Direct Dial/N so you hit # and dial extension and it direct dials. You can also hit # and then hit a user button and it will also work.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
