Hello,
I appreciate all the assistance I could get from everyone here. Thank you in advance...When I dial the intercom number of one of my phone (7945), it takes at least 10 seconds before it rings (the caller hear dead air during the time it's waiting for the ring). But this is not the case when you call that phone's DN. I checked and compared the configuration with the rest of the intercom group and can't find anything different.

My initial guess would be that you have a digit conflict, meaning that the phone # of the intercom is equal to but shorter than another number (or group of numbers) on your system.

For example, if you had a phone extension of 1234 then you tried to use only "123" for the intercom line, your phone system would wait for the expiry of the T302 interdigit timer before completing the call.

The fix is to use the same digit length for the intercom number as you would use for a regular extension - just be sure not to use a number that could be dialed from outside the office.
