Hello All,

When I try to dial Intercom 777 to get into the Mail VS system, Im getting a busy. Im sure its something that I missed in the programming. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Joel

you need to program the VM ports into hunt group 7 in order for it to work.

If you arent sure how go to the FAQ and there is a link to avaya sight to download manuals

What cards do you have in your system and what slots are they in and what VMS do you have? If you can tell us that we can tell you what ports you need to put in #505.

The card is a 4 port card and it is in slot 4. I put the card in slot 4. I programmed Hunt Group 7 with extensions 36,37,38,39. Im not sure what I missed or what could be wrong. Thank you all for your help.

What is in Slot 1 ACS or older Partner processor, and what's in slot 2 and 3, 206's 308's

I have a 308 in the middle (3rd) slot. I have a 206e board in the first slot.

Thanks.

Joel

Ok.
By your post I think you have your system setup as follows.
Slot2 Slot3 Slot1 Slot4 Slot5
Card 206 308 ASC VMS empty
EXT. 18-23 24-31 10-17 32-37

If this is correct then you voice mail ports for hunt group 7 will be 34,35,36,37

As you can see the middle slot is number 1 then you go all the way to the far left for number 2, so your 5 slot lines up like this 23145. I hope this makes sense.

Sorry, youre right. My VS board is in the 4th slot.

Nope, not yet. When I try dialing Intercom 777, Im still getting a busy. Any ideas on what I might have done wrong?

Joel

The only thing I can think of is that you may not have an ACS, that would change the port numbering. What module is in the center slot?

The module in the center slot is a 308 processor.

Joel

Telprog, never did get your name, but I just want to say THANK YOU. I really appreciate the extra effort that you put into this. Thank you so much for your help.
