Hi all,

In MD110 the NIU offers the possibility to communicate with an intercept system over TCP/IP. I am trying to find out if the same is possible also in Meridian. I know Meridian has a serial asynchrone port for this but I need to know about TCP/IP.

I have posted this question in the Meridian forum. No response so far but perhaps someone here has knowledge about this?

Hello.
Is this so that you can carry out admin commands on the Meridian? If so, this is possible. You connext the maintenance port to an AUI tranceiver and connect this to the LAN.
Does not support Telnet. Use 'rlogin'. This is how the Nortel application OTM administers the pbx.

Regards

Hi,

Thank you for the response. No it is not for handling admin commands, it´s Meridian´s interface towards an intercept system I was trying to find information about.

I learned yesterday that Meridian does not have a TCP/IP interface for the above purpose, only a serial asynchrone data interface is available.
