Hello.
I make a project using InterBase 5.5. When I have to change some table or whathever else I have to write a lot of lines SQL source code. Do you know some free user interface for managing InterBase database more easy... somthing like MSSQL Enterprise Manager

Thanks in advance!

I've not used Interbase so I don't know about a free UI for it. Did you check ?

You might also want to look at FireBird ( which was originally based upon Interbase 5 I think. It has (or had) a GUI for managing it.

IBExpert is the best tool for Interbase/FireBird I've seen so far. Download it here. It's really convenient and powerful, great piece of software.

Thanks for your direct!!!
IBExpert is not free, but alaways have a way to do something... :)

2ffat: I use MSSQL Server, but I have to make a program for small store and I thing that IB 5.5 is suitable for my purpose.
IB5.5 is only 23MB :)

IMHO, I've always found the overhead in IB to be a bit much for small apps or non-client/server situations. If I may make a couple of suggestions, look at MySQL and FlashFiler. FlashFiler integrates into BCB very nicely and you can use it just like IB or BDE components. Just a couple of thoughts.

JustBeginner,
IBExpert is free for personal purposes, just has some features (not most important though) disabled. On the other hand, if if you find the tool good and useful - why not pay for it ? ;-)

paskuda: I should if I could ... but I can't. Sorry !!! :(
