Interbase 4gb file 1

I need some assistance and or guidance to solve a problem with an Interbase GDB file problem.

A vital GDB file was allowed to reach the critical 4gb limit at which point it has caused a problem. The IB Guardian service was restarted (scheduled process) and on start up it failed to operate due to the file size. The operational resolution was to fall back to a prior < 4gb back up file and then correct the DBA issue of splitting the file over multiple files.

I NEED to get into the 4gb file though and attempt to retrieve data and if possible resurrect it into the now operating files.

As you posted I was searching and came accross devrace as you also mentioned.

I made contact with Alexey in Russia no less and was successful in a database repair.

Alexey's interest and follow up to my problem was fantstic.

The power and freindship of IT accross the web was really proven on this one this is one AUssie greatful for the Russian assistance.
