Interactive Map

I posted this earlier today but i cant seem to see it anymore so I am posting this again.
I am wondering how I can make an interactive map where the users can click on individual states on a map of the US to get information about each state.
So far I just have a whole picture of the US. Is there a program that can make each state its own link?

well Macromedia dreamweaver lets you make image maps -- what you need is a tool to make image maps -- or a tutorial -- just go to google and check there on image map tutorials or tools

I think Fireworks MX is good for splitting images, too.

ya but then hed have 50 images to piece together -- stick with an image map -- its much easier and cleaner

I was actually able to find a really nice site quite easily. It is quite simple as a matter of fact and it took me no time doing it using an image map.
