Hi all,

I am about to start a project in developing a web application for vehicle tracking. Obviously I will need an interactive map on the site, which will show details about where vehicles are. Can anyone recomend a mapping product? I need it to be as detailed as possible with worldwide coverage.

Thank you for any help.

On there is a link called "Image Maps" which I believe shows how to create clickable regions in an image. There may also be packages for this, but I ran across this one, for what it's worth.

I don't think that nicsin is referring to an image map, per se. I think they need a map package that shows streets, cities, etc.

nicsin, is this to be used in conjunction with a GPS system? If so, you have your work cut out.
There are a ton of packages available, but I doubt that you will get the expertise needed fromthis board.

Google is a wonderfil thing.
There are a ton of them out there.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

viol8ion, in re-reading the post, you are correct. My apologies, nicson.

Thank you both Mike and viol8ion.

viol8ion yes it is going to be used in conjunction with a gps system. I know there are tons of packages out there and the reason I asked is to see if someone has ever used one and to share his/her experience. To be honest with you I can't really distinguish wich ones are good or not...

Anyway thank you for your replies!

Regards,
