As part of our network/computer policy we have an interactive logon message that the users must agree to before they logon (nothing revolutionary thus far). About a month ago i depolyed a Windows Server 2003 server and promoted it to our FSMO DC. About a week after that (there were no significant network changes except i deployed a new file server) my message stating our legal rights etc has been truncated (don't have an exact character count but i guess its around 512 mark) on all of my clients. When i say all i mean my 2000, XP, 2003 file servers, 2003 storage server, etc. However, the full message appears on all my DC's wich are 2000's and 2003 R2 servers. I don't have any replication errors in the event log. This interactive logon message is defined in my main policy which also controls our password policy which is definately being enforced (trust me i had to change my password during this period). I have tried the hot fix that microsoft has provided for Windows 2000 machines with no luck. I hope someone can help me because i need my butt covered legally and this did work at one time. Thanks in advance.
